Day 8 Prompt: Dare

Here is an option
handed
by him who bids
me go
who says it’s time
to leave behind
all I’ve ever known
to seek the freedom searching
my heart that pulls
me toward
that western sky
a brand new life
the one that’s moving
forward

Do you dare,
and greatly,
to live
another life
to embrace this choice
this separate fate
and the heart that knows
he’s right?

These are the moments
fading
to stand open
to the sky
to dare the Sun,
Moon, and Stars
to be
the only
guide.
